MONTESSORI EDUCATOR I received my A.M.I. Children’s House training and my Masters in Education in 2005. Since my certification I have been actively involved in the Montessori community. From 2005 – 2008 I worked at The Family Learning House in Beijing China. This international Montessori school served both foreign and Chinese children and their families. It was and is a model Montessori school that works directly with the Chinese government to establish a strong foundation in Montessori education in China. At TFLH I ran a primary classroom with 28 children and focused my research on ESL and EFL curriculum development. In 2008 I returned to Canada where I worked at March Montessori School as a lead directress in one of two A.M.I. primary classrooms. It was a joy to work in Canada and learn more about Montessori education and how it meets the needs of Canadian families. Although in Italy I am not employed at a Montessori school my heart and mind remain firmly within the scope of Montessori education and pedagogy. I volunteer at a local Montessori school and continue my research and curriculum development in the education field.
